The most efficient renewable energy is from fuel locally grown to its end use. These crops are known as 'energy crops' and they naturally convert the sun's energy into fuel. Energy crops are solar energy at its best. Our farmers produce koolfuel locally to the end market. Fuel is grown from Willow Short Rotation Coppice and we have developed our own production technique that ensures the delivery of fuel to the highest standards, specifically to our customers needs. Each delivered tonne delivers 4 MWh of energy. Every hectare of koolfuel annually produces 60 MWh which typically is enough energy to heat and power over 3 homes.
